I graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg in 2012 where I studied MultiMediaTechnology. During my studies I focused more on the game development classes since games have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Besides general programming we were taught quite specific game development skills.
I worked for Stunlock Studios in Skövde for a short time in 2011. It was amazing to be part of that lovely company and to have the opportunity to work on one of my favorite games.
From 2012 until 2015 I lived in London and worked for the BAFTA award winning studio Preloaded. My work included creating amazing digital games for clients like Disney, McDonald’s, FirstChoice and Amplify.
In Fall 2015 I joined the Red Bull Media House in Salzburg as a Creative Technologist where I create prototypes and lead the production of digital experiences. I’ve been messing around a lot with VR, especially with the Gear VR and the HTC Vive. And lately the latest AR hype has led me to experiment with ARCore and ARKit.
Since 2016 I have the honour of being part of the FWA judging panel where I’ve got the pleasure to rate digital experiences.
When I’m not busy working, I enjoy doing all kinds of fun things to do and trips together with my wife and my son. Of course I not only develop but also play games. Lately I’ve played Battlerite, Master of Orion, Battlefield 1, Overwatch, Halcyon 6 and The Division quite a bit, but I always keep an eye out for more experimental games!
In Salzburg I volunteered for the Red Cross as a medic on an emergency ambulance for several years.
